Pins in DATACT represent specific points on the map where you want to record or associate data — such as field observations, images, measurements, or notes. Use this method if an image does not contain GPS data to add the location manually.

The steps are:

1. Navigate to the Map Interface:

   Use the baseline map view to find the area where you want to place the pin by zooming or using the search function.

2. Use right click to add the pin :

   You can add the addres, use the gps coordinates or manually select on the map where you want to place the pin.

3. Enter Pin Details:

   A form or popup will appear. You can:

   • Name the pin
   • Select a category or tag
   • Add a description or notes
   • Upload media (photos, files, etc.)

4. Save the Pin:

   Click Save to finalize the pin.

5. View or Edit Later:

   Your pin will now be visible on the map. You can click it anytime to view or update its details.
