Pins in DATACT represent specific points on the map where you want to record or associate data — such as field observations, images, measurements, or notes. Use this method if an image does not contain GPS data to add the location manually.
The steps are:
Navigate to the Map Interface:
Use the baseline map view to find the area where you want to place the pin by zooming or using the search function.
Use right click to add the pin :
You can add the addres, use the gps coordinates or manually select on the map where you want to place the pin.
Enter Pin Details:
A form or popup will appear. You can:
Save the Pin:
Click Save to finalize the pin.
View or Edit Later:
Your pin will now be visible on the map. You can click it anytime to view or update its details.
