Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have from DATACT:

1. WMS URL, which looks like:

   <https://wms.datact.svarmi.com/YOURTEAM/CHANNELNAME>
   
   

   – Replace YOURTEAM with your team name and CHANNELNAME with the channel you want to stream.

   – You’ll find this under Settings → WMS in DATACT. For details, see Share using WMS to other software.

1. A valid WMS API key (not expired)

   – Create one under Settings → WMS → Create new API Key.

Combine the URL and key like this:

<https://wms.datact.svarmi.com/YOURTEAM/CHANNELNAME?x-api-key=YOUR_WMS_API_KEY>

💡 Tip: Don’t forget the ?x-api-key= prefix before pasting your API key!

🌍 Assigning the Coordinate System in Civil

1. Open your drawing in Civil 3D.
2. Run MAPCASSIGN in the command line or switch to the Planning & Analysis workspace

Once in the Planning and Analysis environment select the Map Setup and click on Assign

Now you can search for the Coordinate Reference System you would like to use. Once done close the Coordinate System - Assign window
