Log in to your account at https://datact.svarmi.com
Open the menu by clicking the three lines in the top left corner of Datact
Now go to Settings –> WMS –> Create a new API key
Select and Expiration Date sometime in the future. Your WMS key will expire at the set date. Click CreateNow click the WMS API Key value to copy it to your clipboard. You should save this key in a secure location such as your company’s password manager. Click Exit
Now copy the WMS URL by clicking the copy button located to the left of “WMS URL”, you will need this URL for the next step
Open QGIS and select Layer (in the file menu on top) –> Add Layer –> Add WMS/WMTS Layer
Click ‘New’ to create a New WMS connection
Name: Datact - <your team>.<your channel>Replace “<your team>” with your company’s name and “<your channel>” with the name of the channel you were in when you copied the WMS URL.URL: <the WMS URL you copied from Datact in an earlier step>Find the ‘HTTP Headers’ section and click ‘Advanced’click the ‘+’ icon and set:Key=X-Api-KeyValue=<The WMS key you copied from Datact in an earlier step>
If you followed the steps above you configuration window should look similar to this:
Click ‘OK’ to finish setting up the connection
Now in the Data Source Manager click ‘Connect’ with your new connection selected:
If connecting is successful then all layers in the selected channel should be available in QGIS.
To connect on a different channel, go to that channel in Datact and copy the WMS URL there. You can create a new connection in QGIS for the new channel and use the same API key as before.
Keep in mind that the API key you have only works for channels that you have access to within your team. To connect to WMS on a different team you must first switch to that team in Datact and generate a new WMS key there.
