Click the measurement icon in the 3D viewer toolbar, then choose from the following options:
Distance Measurement
Click to place two or more points on the terrain. The tool calculates the 3D distance between them, including elevation changes.
Height Measurement
Select two points—typically one at the base and one at the top of a feature. This calculates the vertical height difference between them.
Height Profile
Draw a line across the terrain to generate a cross-sectional profile. This displays elevation changes along the path and highlights terrain features (more about height profile in Create profile through 3D data)
The results of the measurements can also be copied for further analysis.
To end a measurement, double-click your last point. To clear results, either click the measurement icon again or use the red cross icon.
